The Watch has fished excellently over the past two days with 163 blue and rainbow trout up to 3lbs being netted. No reports of the fish up to 6lbs have been reported so far. A few rods caught into double figures over the weekend with the best being a c&r angler returning 21 fish today. The road shore, bank opposite the lodge and lodge shore up by the upturned boat and willows have been the productive areas. With few rods venturing to the end opposite the dam that zone has remained lightly fished. Fast glass, 13' and 6' midge tips and floater have been the successful lines with damsels, booby. blobs, sparkler cormorants, dabblers and black rabbit amongst the catching patterns. Buzzers and large pond olives were hatching off and dancing in the air today and, a few adders were spotted sunning themselves after their period of winter hibernation. This morning, it was also wonderful to see the ospreys have returned.
